I just posted a quick tip about creating scripts within Cinema4D. This tip will show you how simple it can be to create your own script, create an icon and then add it to your layout.

So head on over to Motionworks and check it out.

I may create a longer tutorial on scripting in the future, but I currently don’t have one planned.

      Thanks Tim

Just a curious question – why doesn’t the “scale” part of the script work in with the model tool? Also, is there a good resource online to learn a little bit more about scripting?

    Great tip!

The model tool doesn’t scale the object, it scales the object points. The object tool scales the object.

Try scaling using the model tool and notice how the scale parameter doesn’t change in the attribute manager.
