CameraTracker – aligning to features

Hey everybody.

So I’ve made a new FREE tutorial for NUKE, to help out ‘Urban Legends’, who sent me a message on Vimeo.
Hopefully more of you will find this helpful.

When you select CameraTracker features, switch to 3d view, they will become yellow. But if you set them to be the ground plane, they will become purple, and remain purple. Even if you were to go back and select them again.
So I show you the easiest way to align 3D geometry to a certain CameraTracker feature in the video below!

Enjoy!

    Hi,

I came across you via The Foundry’s Facebook page. Looking forward to see what Nuke tutorials you might have up your sleeve. I’m a Swede from Uppsala, living in Chicago and we have just stared a The Foundry meet-up here in Chicago. I have a tracking problem which I which I’m trying to solve. It would be interesting to see how you would solve it. So far, I was told that I didn’t use tracker markings and that was my problem. But, I think it might be solved with some intelligent keying and the right settings in the tracker or 3D tracker. Let me know if you want the footage. It’s only 91 frames 1080P from an iPhone 5S and a logo from the University of Wisconsin.

      Hi Anders,

That’s cool to hear, that you’ve just started a The Foundry meet-up!

I would be very interested in seeing the footage, so please just send it to my mail (link is in the post), along with a description.

      Cheers,
      Jonas Jørgensen 🙂
