Design is constantly evolving into new directions, always pushing the boundaries and changing the very nature of the role of a designer. New Frontiers is a series of talks that will attempt to shed some light on these lateral shifts and evolutions. We aim to bring innovators, designers, and creative thinkers working at the cutting-edge of design to share insights, experiences, and ideas.

The 2015 series has focused on three contemporary topics: Future Spaces; Start-ups and now VFX, Motion & Sound.

VFX, Motion and Sound are integral to creating a holistic design experience. This event brings people at the forefront of creative technology experiences to shed some light on where things are going.

As the landscape shifts, production studios are changing their game to keep up with technological innovation. VFX teams are working with computer science specialists, hardcore coders and audio engineers to deliver cutting edge, digital, branded experiences.

Hear from Tim Clapham, Director at Luxx, Robert Stock from AIRBAG, Tone Aston and Johnny Green from Rumble Studios along with Visual Effects Artist and ProVideo Coalition Author, Chris Zwar.

This event will be part of Sydney Design 2015, taking place from 4-13 September at the Powerhouse Museum (MAAS).
